You do realize that the website in your link shows vote totals far below those on the CNN site, as if it’s far behind CNN?

If this is true and the state flips back to America, it will be interesting to see how the media covers it. I saw glowing happy news slugs gloating over this state going blue after the media declared it for Comrade Zero.

Great, but its not like this is going to alter the outcome of the election.
It is important. Perception is everything in politics. If you give an impression that Indiana went for Obama, it will make them work hard on other red states. Look at North Carolina. We lost by 11 or 12 K but, it will be projected as blue state. It is not. Althought democrats are more in this state, they never vote for democrats in presidential election. It is still a conservative state but they got this idea that, they can change North carolina into a real blue state.

Heck, I read an article this morning about how Obama turned Indiana blue. If not true, that’s cool.
To: flintsilver7
I wonder which other states are still counting?

Gore conceded and then retracted. Even several days after the fact, can McCain not retract concession and wait for absentee and provisional ballots to be counted?
Although at this point I doubt Governor Palin (God Bless her!) would want to be associated with him.

Why is it taking so long? They’re going to have to send Electors to the EC fairly soon. Are they going to make that deadline?

At least our near neighbors have some sanity, as here in Michigan we have sadly just gotten more blue this election (in more ways than one).
We need to take page from democrats. If it is a blue state and if it is within a margin 5 to 10%, we should build ground work in those states. It is easy to flip 5% in an election. If they flip 12% win of Bush to win North carolina, we should be able do that in blue states. Just talking about conservative values is not going to help. We need more registration, more ground work and more people to volunteer. If not, we will be a dying breed.

Yes, I already acknowledged that and I would certainly like to know why. CNN is showing Marion county with a more than 100,000 vote margin for Obama but the SOS website shows them as not yet reporting. Do the counties call CNN first? Does the SOS report to the major networks before updating their own website? If that’s true, why are they still updating it every few minutes?
To: LottieDah
It will once it’s shown that Obama wasn’t born in the United States! :P

What is in indiana worth caring about.?
To: TMA62
Same here. I'm embarrassed about the direction Indiana took.
Also, this disclaimer was not on the SOS web site yesterday:
"Note: These results are NOT yet official. A number of counties have yet to provide their data to the state."
To: flintsilver7
I would really like to know why the Indiana SOS website, updating regularly, has such radically different numbers than news networks.
The SOS's site is just confirming official numbers for Indiana counties. So far there are still 8 counties that haven't been officially approved. The largest in voter count still out, Marion, had an expected 105,000 plus vote margin of Obama over Mccain. Unless there are some issues with provisional ballots that weren't included in the numbers on election night, I don't expect to see significantly different results than reported on election night. We'll see.

Do you realize that the CNN site showing vote total is based on exit polls only. I’ll take the word of the Indiana SOS any day over CNN.

Did they provide their data to CNN?
To: MilspecRob
I guess the country still is DIVIDED and it ain’t Bush’s fault....AND Obama certainly does NOT have a mandate. That’s what this tells me. Also, blacks cannot claim racism anymore...affirmative action should be closed down...and hopefully blacks will soon realize that their messiah is NOT going to save them or help them.
To: flintsilver7
The news networks do not have the certified count.
They make the calls based on exit polling.
The certified count is the official count.
