Do you realize that the CNN site showing vote total is based on exit polls only. I’ll take the word of the Indiana SOS any day over CNN.

Good grief. The ignorance displayed on this thread is incredible. The exit polls project percentages and not actual vote numbers. That's why the actual vote changes often on election night as more and more precincts report their totals; otherwise, the network would just say 1,200,000 to 1,100,000 at the beginning.

The actual vote numbers come from a central vote center that the media contributes to. The state site can have a different number depending on how often or when the number is updated.
