Much like John McCain and Sarah Palin's view on ANWR, Russ and I will just have to agree to disagree on the outcome of tonights debate.
I happen to think that Sarah Palin stood her ground and showed Biden how things should be handled.
Biden came off as condescending, and ill informed in his often self congratulating rhetoric. Constantly, we were reminded of his fantastic record and reputation in Congress, on both sides of the aisle. Biden, C'mon! If you were the great statesman you tried to convince America of tonight, perhaps you would have carried, oh I don't know, ONE state in the primaries. Instead, his own party decided to go with a newcomer with 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's gotta sting.
Biden felt the need to reiterate the important parts of their campaign, which mainly have to do with blaming the Bush Administration for the economic standing, Iraq, health care issues, social security issues as well as cancer, HIV/AIDS, Britney Spears social life, and global warming. Let me say that again, the economic standing, Iraq, health care issues, social security issues, cancer, HIV, and Britney.
Each time Biden started a phrase with "let me say that again" it showed me two things (he also liked proving how well he could count from 1-4, with the exception of the time he decided to switch it up starting with point "A" and quickly moving on to point "2")...It showed me that he had nothing else to say! He was out of rhetoric and was not prepared with one single sound bite that Couric could use and repeat to the American public. It also showed me that he wasn't prepared to handle either himself or the type of questions he was presented with. ..

What he didn't realize though was that by pointing out that McCain voted against it because it contained a timeline for withdrawal only bolstered Palin's point.
Maybe McCain did vote against the particular funding bill because it contained a timeline but Obama DIDN'T oppose a timeline so that can only mean one thing -- he voted against the funding. McCain voted against the timeline.
1. Biden the Foreign policy guru said Darfor was in CHAD!!!
2. Biden said that 100 million families would be affected by Mccain's Medical plan. There are not 100 million families in the USA.
3. Biden said that he would be "right by Obama's side" with every decision. Does Obama need a nanny?
Wonderful debate.

Oh, do you remember him calling Bosnians, Bosniacs?
Question? Does Darfur have an airforce that we can enforce a no-fly zone with?
Sudan may have an Air Force but that was sort of strange to me too.
