In attempts to distance themselves from the dangerous "political climate" two Muslim supporters of Barack Obama were denied special seating behind Obama during a speech.
They would have been welcomed, had they simply decided to remove their traditional headscarves.
Spokesman for the Obama campaigned apologized on behalf of the campaign for any offense the campaign volunteer might have mistakenly conveyed when asking Ali Koussan to choose.
"We sincerely apologize for the behavior of these volunteers" said Bill Burton. No information has been released regarding if the campaign "volunteers" were actually volunteers or staffers... Anyone whose worked on a political campaign, especially one of this magnitude, would know that things like VIP seating during a televised event aren't really left up to your Average Joe volunteer. Regardless of their status on the campaign, Burton doesn't mentioned if the 'volunteer' had a good talkin to regarding discrimination.
There are two separate instances detailed in the Politico article.
The don't see people they see color, race or ethnicity and judge seating based on that. Yet this is the same party that has the audacity (yes, I said it) to criticize Republicans for causing separatist views regarding the Islamic faith. Pft. Nice try....

I say we show support for religious freedom in this country.
The Obama! campaign is discriminating against Muslims, so I say we dress up in traditional Muslim garb and attend every Obama! photo-op in our neighborhood.
