About New Mexico Center for Energy Policy (NMCEP)

NMCEP is developing locally generated Energy Policy from a rural area where domestic oil and gas exploration and production drives the economy. Energy conscious leaders will provide policy recommendations recognizing that energy of the future must combine Fossil Fuels, Nuclear and Renewable energies

Were either one of you able to attend? I managed to make it and it was very interesting and informative. The presenters brought up a lot of good points on how the real obstacles to moving forward with a sound energy policy are the “emotional obstructionists”, that the technology and resources are there for the U.S. to achieve energy self-sufficiency.

The organizers are planning on putting on another conference in six months, with the focus to be on alternative energy.
