Frankly, I think the choice for Republicans in 2008 is between Fred Thompson and oblivion. There is no guarantee, of course, that we will not choose oblivion. They don't call us The Stupid Party for nuthin'!

Fred was just on Fox News. Bill Hemmer asked him, why he was not catching on?
Paraphrasing Fred's answer: It is because of you guys (MSM). I watched the Fox coverage of the Iowa voting and the panel members on Fox where saying all night that McCain would come in third, it was all about McCain and when the results came in and I was third, and not McCain, there was no mention of my name.
