I love that he included the Iowa flag — a reminder that Thompson, unlike other candidates, understands that we are a federation of sovereign states. It’s a nice nod to history, the Constitution and the underlying structure of our Republic.

I like him, but I think he should have released this a bit earlier, before people are busy with new year celebration. And 15 mins are a bit too long, IMHO.

millions of Democrats who haven’t left the Democratic party so much as their party’s national leadership has left them
Fred is right on this too.
I know many Dems who betray an ignorance to their own party’s positions. They are “legacy” dems who vote that way because of the more than ever their non-existent unions, their daddies did, their “leaders” tell em to, etc.
Many of them are basically conservative on most positions.
