Candidate Lee Zeldin (NY-1) ties the lack of faith in MLB ballplayers in the wake of the Mitchell Investigation with the decaying support for the leadership of the 110th Congress.

In Congress, as in MLB, stealing is encouraged. (See William Jefferson D. Louisiana)
Pretty sure both the MLB and Congress are run by people governed by their own self-interest over all other considerations.
Still don’t get why people care about baseball in the first place. Boring game.
