Indeed he is. However, Huckabee is up to 15% nationally and is also the leader in Iowa right now.. Both candidates came out of the debate with gains. Thompson going negative on Huckabee will just push moral conservatives more solidly into Huckabee’s camp. Rush Limbaugh’s off handed endorsement also has the same effect on persons inclined to vote morals first.

I truly believe that Conservatives are so hungry for a candidate that those in Iowa jumped to Huckabee from Romney and Rudy, and his peak will begin to drop. As they review his record more closely, they will gravitate to FRED and he will peak at just the right time.

The RUSH statements will eventually get out and the numbers will climb steadily over the next few weeks.
