"The people that know Fred in Tennessee and that have worked with him for years love him, know him and love him from the state that he's from. You know, not all the other candidates can say such a thing."
Nice little slam of Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. That's a sharp young lady!

Fred has made his status on the fact he’s an actor and how that supposedly makes him ‘electable’. We’re now seeing that Fred really hasn’t impressed many people when they got a chance to see the man. I find it ironic you try to convince every conservative to get behind such a poor candidate who has no chance of winning a general election and is proving the point when he can’t even take off in the GOP primary.

Why don’t you knock it off. I was for Hunter 120% until I realized that the MSM had blocked him from day one. You don’t see a difference between Thompson and Huck-Mclame and Romney? If you don’t you dont deserve a great man like Hunter! I am Thompson/Hunter so that Hunter can win the next time around!

I sincerely hope this was an attempt at sarcasm, since you are a Hunter fan....where are Duncan's poll numbers, BTW?

I’m sick and tired of Hunter fans trashing Thompson. I myself was for Hunter first. I met his family, and they are all remarkable people. But the MSM buried him from day one, and his only chance is as VP, which I wholeheartedly endorse!

Not to pile on - well,
yeah, I
am piling on - Hunter might have good qualities, but when your boy, 'The Blip', shows up on the party radar screen, ping me.

And Duncan has made his status as an unknown Congressman.
Sorry, pal, get used to it. Duncan is a nothing, a nobody, a null, a void, a zip, a nada, a non-existent candidate. His name was only used as a filler to separate Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo. And when Tom drops out, there’ll be no more use for poor ole Duncan. Buh-Bye!!!
But, I really like him...

For the sake of argument, let's say you're right, and your candidate Congressman Duncan Hunter stays at 1-4% in the polls, then what do you suggest that conservatives do?! Give up? Support a RINO (Huckabee, Rudy, Mitt, etc..)? Give up and let Hillary become president? WHAT?!! It's easy to criticize Fred and his campaigning! What is your solution?!! Really--I want to hear it!

============================================================Fred achieved national political recognition 33 years ago, his two senate wins during the 90s made him a nationally known popular Republican.
When did you first discover Duncan Hunter?

Excuse me...I do not believe I have seen Duncan Hunter higher than 2% or am I wrong?
You guys constantly try to convince everyone that Fred is unelectable. It will not work until I see Duncan coming up in the polls even to 4th or 5th. He has been in this race longer and yet cannot climb above 6th or 7th. What does that tell you?
Fred come into this race 2nd in the National polls. In many polls, he is still 2nd. I have even seen some polls with Fred in 1st. Duncan Hunter is simply no registering with the general public or even here. I see from the FreeRepublic poll that his supporters have been hitting the site often to drive up his numbers. Nonmembers! That means they don’t follow politics on a regular basis and maybe the supporters are moving from computer to computer to drive his numbers up.
OK...flame away!

At her age, I would think it would be a compliment to be called a “chick” but not here. Jeri was a very accomplished woman before marriage to Fred. She is now a beautiful woman and mother of 2 babies. I think it would be at least appropriate to have her called a lovely woman or quite a lady.

That would be an incredible scenario, I just can’t understand why people don’t understand it. Hunter is already out of the running in 2008, but he could make a difference for 16 years paired with Fred.
