>Why does IT have an R by ITS name instead of a D?

I believe that this is the election that will set the pattern for the future face of the GOP.
Its going to be either a cross dresser & gay parade marcher
or a social conservative.

Thats it, and Rudy is the man to beat for the GOP and Hillary is the man to beat for the dems. - Pun intended.

If Rudy takes it the GOP will lose in a landslide, and before everyone jumps in, the electoral votes are there for you all to see, and Rudy has a proven record of losing to (hillary!).

Withdrawal is losing, irrespective of the apparent reason, and not running against her for the NY Senate seat was the hallmark act of a man who knew damn well that he would lose.

He has one BIG thing in his favor next November:

He isn’t (hillary!) - That did not work for Kerry (anyone but Bush) and it will not win for Rudy.

And thats it. - Be prepared.

I never believed that ruse about 'prostate cancer' which Rudy pulled to withdraw from the NY senate race -- three months before election day. (what was it, Aug. of 2000?)

Did anyone notice Rudy was back at his job as NYC Mayor within weeks of his withdrawel.

In fact, he looked at peak performance and healthy by that Christmas, and SURELY looked fit and healthy by time the terrorists struck on 9/11

Methinks Rudy saw himself losing in the polls, and did not want to be branded a loser.

He certainly could have continued his US Senate bid, even if he had to take a few weeks off to recuperate. In fact, he probably would have gotten a decent sympathy vote if he had stayed in after getting relatively routine surgery.(or whatever he got)
