While Jeff Flake has done good work on earmark reform, he’s a supporter of amnesty for illegal aliens. Russell Pearce is the better candidate. Hopefully, local conservatives will work for him.

Pearce has said his immigration stance is about "the rule of law" and blasts businesses that hire illegal workers.

When it comes to immigration policy, we can change the law. This "rule of law" argument is phony. There is nothing inherently wrong with immigration. We're talking about the appropriate public policy here. Rep. Flake advocates an immigration policy that is in alignment with economic forces such as supply and demand. America needs to satisfy its need for labor. Rep. Flake's guest worker program does that.

Opposition to a guest worker program is a form of protectionism. Protectionism doesn't work. If you don't believe me, just look at the past 30 years of immigration policy. It hasn't worked.
