Hefley said he couldnt endorse Lamborn because he ran a sleazy, dishonest primary campaign.

I think that Hefley's response is over the top. Still, Lamborn ran a lot of negative ads against his primary opponents, and it really wasn't necessary.

I voted for Crank in the primary, but I'll vote for Lamborn now. I think Hefley should endorse him although I agree Lamborn went over the top.

I wonder if Hefley's motive is to force Lamborn to drop out, leaving the GOP to nominate a compromise candidate?

He's crazy if that's his motive. Lamborn could care less about Hefley.

Well that crap ain't gonna happen. Hefley needs to stop acting like a big baby, he's coming perilously close to Kolbe territory. Sadly, this seems to be what happens when you spend 30 continuous years in public office...

Absolutely. Hefley was the subject of a CNN puff piece feature in its Broken Government series. He is ohhhhh soooooo ethical and the GOP is ohhhhhh sooooooo sleazy. Hefley is portrayed as an offended Reaganite who just can't stand all that religous right stuff. He is ohhhhhh soooooo noble in refusing to endorse the primary winner.
OK, back to reality! Hefley is just one more "I gotta be me!!!!" jerk who will not be missed. He should be ostracized and shunned by the Colorado GOP. If he buys a ticket to a fundraiser, he should be ignored as though he is not there. His name should never be mentioned positively and he should be treated for what he is: a treasonous weasel in party terms. Periodic bloodletting is necessary to the health of the party. Hefley cooperated in the taking down of Delay. The election of the Republican successor to Delay and of the Republican nominee in Hefley's district are just the two handed slap to Hefley's face that is called for.
Electing Randy Graf in Kolbe's Arizona District likewise. It is about time that the district in question be represented by a Congressman who knows what goes where. If Kolbe retaliates by outing lavender GOP Congressthings, so be it! Just spell the names right so we make no mistakes in the ensuing purge.

From this years ads,on the political ones, both sides, the ads were despicable.Seems even sex sells in some of them.I was a little depressed in the outcomes of some of them for a day or two,but decided to accept the decision the voters chose. The dead voters in some areas were the turning point on a few crucial ones, but what the heck. The democraps will have the podium,as usual, for the next few years. The more they spew live in front of prime time, the better. When some of the borderline voters see for themselves, live and in color, what they really stand for,I suspect they will vote different in'08.The political ads were vile and dirty.Shame has usually kept a few in line.Shame for a man seeking power is a not real scenario.
