Chuck Anher is - for sure - a FairTax candidate all he way and deservas any support you might be able to offer.

Chuck says that one of his first actions if elected will be to sign on to HR25 as a cosponsor and he has already been working on the 2 KS Senators to do so in the Senate.

He's the sort of guy we need in DC. Could use more like him fer shur!!

A "Fair Tax" without the repeal of the 16th amendment will result (ultimately) in being saddled with both...as we are in our state of Ohio.

That's a very old bit of nonsense - started by Dick Armey when pushing his "flat tax" years ago as a method of trying to prevent the FairTax from gaining momentum.

It isn't true and if you'd read the bill you'd realize that.

Despite Armey's efforts, the FairTax is the tax system with widespread momentum now. Eliminated by the FairTax bill, the income tax and its appurtenances (including the records which must be destroyed) are gone when HR25 passes.

It also calls for the repeal of the 16th as an added measure but as a tax bill it cannot also be a repeal bill due to the differing requirements. There is presently a repeal bill before the House that complements the FairTax quite nicely.

Since you're concerned about the matter, you should contact your DC-folk to support both bills.

Armey's professed "point" WAS nonsense.

He claimed that the 16th must be repealed before we could rid ourselves of the I. T. otherwise we'd have both. That's actually worse than nonsense since his (so-called) flat tax was merely another form of income tax as are all of the "flat tax" efforts and the fact that the FairTax actually rids us of the income tax when the bill is voted into law. If any flat tax were to be the tax law, we'd still have an income tax with most of the downside thereof as shown in this post.

The FairTax eliminates the income tax (and some other taxes), the IRS (and defunds it), and requires the tax records to be destroyed as well. In addition it calls for repeal of the 16th amendment (for which there is a bill presently in congress to do just that).
