Republican gubenatorial candidate Robin Jennison named a Johnson County senator as his running mate.
The selection of Senator Dennis Wilson, R-Overland Park, gives the ticket some geographical balance. Jennison, a former House speaker, is from Healy in west-central Kansas.

Dennis Wilson is a very good choice. He can offset the impact in Johnson County of Kathleen Selebius's choice of Mark Parkerson as her running mate.
