"Dick DeVos is a man of integrity," said Hoogendyk, R-Kalamazoo. "He has a track record of leadership in business and a history of leadership in working to improve education in our state. Furthermore, he is an example of leadership by the way he lives his life and I have great respect for him. We need a leader for Michigan that people can put their trust in to do what is needed in this state to change the economic climate. I am happy to offer my endorsement and I look forward to helping him any way I can as he continues his campaign."

I think that Hoogendyk should challenge RINO Congressman John Schwarz for renomination. He'd probably be able to unite the conservative vote.
Hoogendyk is in Kalamazoo County which is in Fred Upton's 6th District. Joe Schwarz is in the 7th District which ends at the Kalamazoo/Calhoun county line.
Whoops, my mistake. Are any conservatives considering a primary challenge to Schwarz?
These are the candidates listed as challengers to Dr. RINO Schwarz:
Rick Baxter (R) - State Rep., Ex-Jackson County Commissioner & Businessman
Brad Smith (R) - Attorney, Son of Ex-Congressman Nick Smith & '04 Candidate
Tim Walberg (R) - Ex-State Rep., Minister & '04 Candidate
I can see either Brad Smith or Tim Walberg both winning. Walberg nearly won on a shoe-string budget, and Smith almost won last time.
But we still face the problem that there absolutely has to be a clearing-out of the field to face Schwarz head-on. Dan, do you see enough anger on the ground to oust Schwarz, or is he just going to get a pass ?
I think it'll be harder this time out because of incumbency.
We have one shot left, and it has to be one person and one person only - and ALL the conservative groups need to jump in on it.
The question is... is there one unifying candidate ?
There better be, because we don't have a prayer if there isn't.
While I still hope Candice Miller gets in the race, barring that, a lack of a primary in this case is good news.
