I wouldn't worry much. In addition to being a flake, a sore loser, and a traitor, she is precisely the wrong fit for a district like this. If she was pro-life and fiscally moderate/liberal, she might have a better chance.

Allegheny county? This broad is a bad fit for the Burgh.

President Bush got 55% in Melissa Hart's 4th CD and 54% in Tim Murphy's 18th CD, and both Hart and Murphy have been elected and reelected by their constituents (first to the state senate, then the U.S. House) for years. The 2002 GOP redistricting plan sucked in Eastern PA (where Holden beat Gekas, Gerlach is barely hanging on and three other Republicans are in seats carried by Kerry), but it was very effective in Western PA.

Absolutely. It's no coincidence that the only Democrats who have been elected to the House in districts that include the Allegheny County suburbs over the past decade---Mike Doyle, Frank Mascara, Jack Murtha and Ron Klink---have all been pro-life.

I think you're mostly right about Hafer. George Matta might be a more difficult opponent to defeat than Hafer.
