Musgrave won by less than expected last year. Possible opponents are state Representative Wes McKinley and state Representative Angie Piccione.

Musgrave's numbers were drawn down due to a really bad year for the Republicans in Colorado (they lost a House seat, a Senate seat, and both houses of the state legislature) plus some really disgusting ads run by liberal 527s. I don't think she'll be in trouble this time. I'd worry more about the seventh district that Beauprez is vacating to run for governor. Now that's going to be a toughie to keep.

That's awfully stupid of them. Buprez is probably running for Governor, and they might well gain that seat if they try, it's a slightly Dem leaning seat. Also, they will definately have to defend John Salazar's seat. He won, barely, even though Bush carried his district.

I hope the RATs throw all their money into Musgrave's district. They will never defeat her unless she turns into Phil Crane---it's just too Republican a district.

While they're at it, I hope the RATs concentrate their resources on that other "vulnerable" Republican, John Hostettler of Indiana. I don't understand why Democrats keep trying to beat Republicans sitting in districts in which Bush got 57% in 2000 and even higher than that in 2004.
