Glad to see another PWC-er on here, Salgak.

I agree, it is time to do something about the RINO caucus, especially the ones who are elected in GOP districts. I can understand having a few RINO's in places like parts of Fairfax where electing a real R is hopeless and if we get half a loaf from a RINO, it is better than getting nothing at all from some D. But guys like Chichester who are in solid R districts need a comeupance. At the same time, let's not forget the D's like Ed Houck who are holding on in districts that should go R.

Unfortunately for me, when redistricting happened, I was moved out of Chichester's district and into into Puller's. Guess old John was afraid to have me in his district as a potential challenger.

My Camaro has over 396,000 miles on it.

That's right impressive. My Accord has 189,000 miles and I just put new struts on all four wheels. My friends at work rib me that the car isn't worth the $650 it cost to do the job; of course they are dead wrong. At the shop, I asked the owner, whom I trust, how many miles the old Hondas can last. He replied that some folks get 500,000 miles out of them. Like anything else, the key is maintenance. I'm shooting for 2017 or 500,000 miles, whichever comes first. Carpooling also keeps the miles down.

And changing the oil now and then. I am on the second engine. As it approached 200,000 miles I went to a bigger engine because I had the money and wanted the performance. The engine didn’t need replacing. I also upgraded the transmission at around 250,000 – it’s a lot quicker now.
I was concerned that if I ever totaled it I’d have to settle for blue book (what a joke). Other’s hitting me were never a problem – I pulled out my maintenance records. Now that it’s over 20 years old blue book doesn’t apply, it goes to actual replacement cost – and that is now rising every year.

Speaking of Virginia Club for Growth. Have you seen this article A Backroom Deal?

One thing I didn't realize is that Kilgore's campaign manager is the former campaign manager for John Chichester. Hopefully Kilgore will sign the ATR pledge against raising taxes — (from the article) a pledge he had signed when he campaigned for Attorney General.

Nick, you have quite the knack of finding out stuff that just makes my blood boil. I think we're going to get more tax increases in the 2006 session if this guy is anywhere close to being right. I'm losing hope that we can make any difference in stopping them.

Sorry! I get the feeling that Kilgore wouldn't raise taxes, but I don't like the idea that he has anything to do with Chichester's people. If Hutcheson weren't Kilgore's campaign manager I would probably dismiss the article, but I really don't trust Chichester (or most of the rest of the senate).

Hutcheson also ran the Bush campaign in Virginia. Don't read anything into him being Kilgore's campaign manager other than being a good strategist.

Jerry Kilgore's anti-tax position is solid.

But pay attention - Because of the political climate and the fact that Kaine is trying to move to the center - it will likely not be ~the~ central piece of the campaign.

okay. I feel a little better now.

But I'm still highly frustrated with the Senate Republicans.

I feel better too. Thanks for clearing that up. I get a nervous twitch when it sounds like someone is helping the Senate RINOs.

GOV Warner is getting good national press for his "moderation" of the VA Republican controlled legislators.

The Republicans are giving away their best hand by stalling around on the car tax. But they don't care as long as there is no accountability for the tax surplus.

There is plenty for every hog at the trough and peace reins. I hope Sultan88 can't see all this...

Yeah, I know. The Sultan probably spinning in his grave.
I'm glad he's not around to witness this total abdication by the Senate RINO's.
