While Keyes is a good person, smart, and a good administrator, but he is a joke of a candidate in a joke of a state party (IL). He does not understand politics well, or just does not care, and is overrated as a orator. He is losing by 45% points.

This is not Alan's fault. Its the state GOP's fault they are letting Louie Farrahkhan Jr. go to the senate.

I like Keyes alot, but he's a poor politician. He'll lose by 40 pts or more. Obama is the dim's fair-haired boy, and will thump Keyes handily. And while Keyes has made several of his own miscues, the IL GOP is a loose-knit band ot nitwits.

Read my tag line. I love Allen Keys, during the primary's in 2000 I wanted him to win instead of Bush but from what I've seen of him lately he has just been shooting himself in the foot. Of course it's all been from the MSM and we all know what they will do to a person who thinks the way he does.

I just received a flyer in the mail from the Illinois GOP with applications for absentee ballots. Very nice glossy flyer that listed Bush-Cheney, Judy Biggert (Rep-13), and Sandra Pihos (Illinois House). There was NO MENTION OF KEYES on any part of the flyer.

A message from Jim Edgar mentioned "We need to support our GOP Team from the Courthouse to the White House"....except in the Senate, I assume.

There is a strong sense that the Illinois GOP has already cut deals with Barak Obama to take care of Illinois WHEN he gets elected. This is shameful all the way around!
