I read the bio and I took you at YOUR word that the guy might be a nut case. So I found and provided you another article by someone who LIKES Obama. Even this guys says that Obama stretches the truth even when he doesn't have to. So if you hate lies so much, why support a guy who changes his core values for political expediency and lies about his background.
Obama sounds a lot like Kerry to me.
When he professes to be a Christian, I have no reason to doubt him.
Did you see where his own Web site says he attended Muslim schools? Why would a non-Muslim attend a Muslim school?
He also attended a Catholic school for two years, after two years at the Muslim school. Does that make him a "closet Catholic"?
I beginning to think you don't want to vote for Keyes but you don't want to vote for a Muslim. So you pretend he isn't a Muslim.
I won't be voting for either, since, as I noted earlier, I live in Wisconsin. I'm volunteering and voting for Tim Michels for our senate race, against Democrat incumbent Russ Feingold.
How much of it did you read? In any case, you didn't read the whole book, so by definition you cannot truthfully claim that "The whole document lacks credibility". Further, simply saying "The whole document lacks credibility" without providing any detail is a copout. Again, if there are specific, relevant points which you think are false, by all means list them.
They are both left-wing Democrats.
Neither, however, is a closet Muslim.
All your rantings have not sufficiently proven that fact to me. Can you posts 2 links as a minimum that are not based on Obama's own bio to prove your point?
Sure, but first you have to prove to me that you aren't a closet Muslim. I'll need a minimum of two sources not based on your own words.
I was 100% specific from the beginning of this conversation.
Obama's book is touted as an 'autobiography'. It's not. It is fiction.
In the forward, he acknowledges that some of the characters were conflated. Other than that, it is autobiographical. Is it your position that the book contains no truth whatsoever?
It is my contention that a book that contains made up characters is fiction, not an autobiography, by definition.
Tell me, just how do you discern between what is real and what is concocted in such a document?
So, you can't do it. I figured that would be the case.
How 'bout you start answering some questions, EV?
1. How much of the book did you read?
2. Is it your contention that there is no truth in the book?
YOU are the one who is advancing the claim that Obama is a "closet Muslim". It is up to YOU to PROVE it. It is not MY job to prove a negative.
In the same way, it is not President Bush's responsibility to prove that he is not a coke addict, as your "reliable source" Andy Martin claimed.
Why don't you try on those shoes, BiTM?
"BushisTheMan is a closet Muslim and a cokehead. Unless YOU can prove me wrong, without citing BushisTheMan's own words, it MUST be true."
I'd like to think you can see the fallacy of this sort of reasoning, even if you won't publicly admit it.
I repeat...you cannot do it because they are only from his original bio, lazily rewritten by the OLD MEDIA co-conspirators.
I already answered this one. As much as I could stomach. If I'm going to take the time to read fiction, I'm gonna read good, believable fiction.
. Is it your contention that there is no truth in the book?
You've asked me this one twice, and it is still a silly question; a strawman you're trying hard to construct.
Not too many lies can be peddled without containing at least some truth, otherwise nobody would buy in.
But the fact is that a truth that has been polluted with the lie has become all lie.
Kinda like a drop of cyanide in your soup.
Gosh, I'm starting to wonder if you're his book agent or something.
Um, no, you are wrong. Andy Martin took a few details from his bio, like his living for four years in Indonesia, and having, during those four years, a Muslim step-father. Then, Martin added his own COMPLETE FABRICATIONS.
The COMPLETE NUTJOB Martin says:
"Fact: Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion."
Just like you, he says this without offering a shred of evidence whatsoever to substantiate it.
"he has treated his Muslim heritage as a dark secret."
Such a "dark secret" that he openly details his relationship with his Muslim stepfather, and describes his grandfather's conversion to Islam, in his book, which is still in print and available via the internet and major booksellers.
"Barack Senior was also a devoted Muslim"
False. Obama's father was an agnostic.
"It is likely Obama's father had Mau Mau sympathies or connections"
Sheer speculation, without any evidence to support it.
"I believe Obama's secret shame at his family history of rape, murder and arson is what actualizes him."
I believe Andy Martin's secret shame is that he is a bedwetter who fornicates with barnyard animals. See, I can spin things out of whole cloth, too.
(Oh, and BTW, Martin offers NO evidence whatsoever of Obama's family's alleged "history of rape, murder and arson". Just more lies.)
How many pages, or what % of the book?
Not too many lies can be peddled without containing at least some truth, otherwise nobody would buy in.
So tell me what the relevant "lies" are?
Since you cannot, I conclude that you are unable, in fact, to point out anything relevant from the book which is false.
Gosh, I'm starting to wonder if you're his book agent or something.
I'll stop talking about it when people stop the "Obama is a closet Muslim" crap.
"Another falsehood. Obama was not raised a Muslim. He was never a Muslim. His paternal grandfather was a convert to Islam. Obama's father was an agnostic. Obama's mother and maternal grandparents were Christian."
"Did you see where his own Web site says he attended Muslim schools? Why would a non-Muslim attend a Muslim school?
He also attended a Catholic school for two years, after two years at the Muslim school. Does that make him a "closet Catholic"?"
""BushisTheMan is a closet Muslim and a cokehead. Unless YOU can prove me wrong, without citing BushisTheMan's own words, it MUST be true."
I'd like to think you can see the fallacy of this sort of reasoning, even if you won't publicly admit it."
