Kerry "Terrorism a Nuisance"

Posted on 10/11/2004 6:09:16 AM PDT by uss_power

''We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance,'' Kerry told the New York Times Magazine on Sunday.

This Guy just doesn't get it. When the terrorists were just a nuisance, They attacked the USS Cole, American embassies in East Africa and other terrorist strikes on U.S. interests inclucing the World Trade Towers.

I hate to say this but he is probably riight about where this is going. Terrorists like drug pushers won't go away in our lifetime if you ask me. They are always around and their being a nuisance is probably the ultimate outcome of this conflict. We won't eradicate them, like the lowly roach, they will survive.

I know that doesn't echo our talking point today but I have to say I do believe he is right.

But treating terrorists like a "nuisance" is what emboldened them to launch their jihad on American soil. Kerry wants to go back to treating terrorism as a law enforcement issue, as Clinton did. And he wants to go back to "diplomacy," talking endlessly to heads of state who are completely untrustworthy, while the terrorists are comfortably ensconced within their borders.

Maybe someday we can go back to diplomacy, but only after the terrorist harborers know that there will be a price to be paid if they are lying.

Disagree. Bush made a correct and bold decision when he decided not to treat terrorists as a mere nuisance, but to declare war on terrorists and terrorism and to prosecute the war with extreme prejudice wherever we have to.

sKerry doesn't get it. And it sounds like you don't either.

Kerry already considers terrorists to merely be a nuisance. Such is the view of the socialist aristocracy. Such a view also explains why he sincerely believes any commander in chief supporting a war against terror is simply squabbling too many assets in the defense of human rights of the paltry common man.

John Kerry only supports the elite rich,....and from his perspective, the only people worth such consideration are represented by dignitaries like himself, public figures who disagree with him, and media spokesmen.

John Kerry doesn't even begin to have a clue as to what life for the common man is all about.

I agree with your statement: "squabbling too many assets" What Kerry is saying, lets have more social programs and don't worry about the terrorist The UN will take care of them.

The more I think about this position, the more consistently the arrogant attitude of a socialist aristocracy fully explains nearly all of their behavior.

This is a point, I admit, I really haven't considered until now. I have instinctively opposed many of their individual and perspectives in the past, but I hadn't really placed them into context.

Consider how Kerry patronized the woman who asked about partial birth abortion and stem cell research during the recent debate. Kerry's method simply treats her as something akin to how he would treat a dog and its feelings. He states he respects her appeal to morality in the same way he would empathize with a labrador retriever staring at him into his eyes.

There is no sincere identification of his fellow man as his equal, merely an actor's response in the face of a democratic power structure, where until he and other socialists can figure out and implement full control of voter fraud to seal the elections he must recognize the public perception of his persona impacts future powers being made available to him.

It explains why he really doesn't care about voting in the Senate except for maybe 5-10% of the votes. It is manifest in the character of his present wife, who nonchalantly remarked children hurricane victims should just go naked for a few days,...completely clueless to reality but self-absorbed in their aristocracy.

It is manifest in his belief that by publically declaring the 'rich' must pay more taxes, however, he and the wealth he married into still pay less tax percentages than most of the 'poor'.

It is manifest in how he has already been granted authority by the UN to go after Pol Pot, so as to show the word it will not tolerate another genocidal dictator,..but for a decade has been unable to bring the rials to fruition,....has never sought to build a coalition amongst nations in such a unanimously obvious supportable international political position,...but has no qualms in accusing Bush of rushing to judgment when the same UN body fails for over a decade to enforce its own mandates upon Saddam Hussein.

Kerry is simply meglamaniacal in his socialistic aristocratical perspective. The only plans Kerry has are to advance himself.

You've hit a key point about kerry. Aristocrat. When I hear people say that he looks 'presidential', I have to correct them. He is pompously aristocratic and views the presidency as an aristocratic entitlement.

IMHO, Bush and those preparing himfor the debate need to consider this perspective. No accusations are necessary. Simply let the situation unfold where Kerry's meglamaniacal aristocratical socialism perspective comes glaring through to those watching the debate.

Let his arrogance, politically hang himself.

pretty hard to treat terrorists as nuisances when 011 happened. But if you think terrorist activity is going to be eradicated , you may be mistaken. I think this war will go on a long time and we won't really get comfortable for a generation. Then there will still be things that happen from time to time. You can call them sporadic attacks or "nuisance attacks",,the vocabulary is Kerry's problem. I think he has the concept. And we can spin it however for political purposes but I still think he was saying pretty much what alot of people think.

I wonder if the people of Russia call the terrorists that murdered their beloved children, teachers and parents just a nuisance?
