"Who is this guy, and does he stand a better chance in the general then the other candidates?"
Dr. Tom Coburn was a Congressman from Eastern Oklahoma (the most Democratic part of the state) from 1995 to 2001; he had limited himself to three terms, and thus did not run for reelection in 2000. He is a true conservative, and one who can appeal to the conservative Democrats that decide elections in Oklahoma. And because his political base is in the same area as Democrat Senate candidate Brad Carson (who replaced Coburn in Congress), it would make it practically impossible for Carson to get enough votes to win the general election. Dr. Coburn would make a great Senator, and luckily for us he's also our best possible candidate. I hope GOP primary voters in Oklahoma realize this and help Dr. Coburn keep Senator Nickles' seat in GOP hands.

I agree, I don't really see too much hope in Kirk Humphreys. Have you seen kirkisajerk.com. That site really ruins his image!

Wow, I like the fact that he's from the same district, I think that would help him HUGE.
Anyhow, I'm not from Oak. but from what you've said, I'm in favor of Coburn. Hope he wins the primary. What are his chances of winning the primary?

I agree 1000% and can assure you I will be voting for Dr. Tom Coburn.

This thread seems to randomly have been bumped.
Seeming as how it has been, does anybody want to tell me if there has been any Coburn/Humphries polling?
The more I learn about this race, the more I worry about Humphries getting the nomination. Coburn is clearly the most electable candidate, and it seems to me, the best on top of that.
