As early as next year widespread flooding by a rise in sea levels will create major upheaval for millions. COULD I be mistaken but if there were to be an "Ice Age", sea level would decrease as water would be stored in the ice caps and glaciers?

Heads up on this story. It's number one over on blogdex which means it's heavily linked by web loggers (bloggers).

Bloggers tend to lead the news cycle by anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. This story might get hot.

Not being a scientist, I cannot dispute their beliefs on climate change. But what do the usual dooms sayers , Green Peace et al... want from us? The Kyoto agreement ignored the three worst polluting economies Russia, China and India. We are not the worst, yet our industries were to be regulated more! Using Kyoto to allow those three economies to develop parity with us is what doomed Kyoto. These groups have cried wolf for so long, I am not sure people in this country believe them. Our winter was normal for the last two years, you'd be hard pressed to convince anyone of climate change here. I would support efforts that treated all polluters the same, if not I prefer a unilateral effort.

Bummer...just when the State of Oregon was going to close 25% of "its'" beaches to protect the snowy plover.

I'm at about 500' and 3 miles from the ocean...anyone want a deal on what will be beachfront property by 2020? Hell, it may even be an island.

Does anyone remember that great sage, Ted Danson. "We only have 10 years left." I believe those wise words were spoken around 1992.

The one thing these articles on global warming all seem to have in common is that they always talk about the disastrous effects of global warming and rarely talk about the proof.
