[Iowa Granny]

I use a Dairy Spray. It's fly spray approved by USDA for use in dairy barns during milking. It works fairly well on them, it's that I have to keep after them, spraying several times a day.

I purchase my spray from the Veterinarian or at the Farm Supply Store. It is supposedly safe to use around food, altho I've never intentionally sprayed it on my food before I ate it.

I think if I had to resort to a hammer to slam each one, I'd just give up and live with them.
