Great quotes!

Hi Penny..... I dunno! You know - I almost think I would hate going! It would make for a really long day!
To: HairOfTheDog
Yeah, it will be a long one, that's for sure. Just let me know by Tuesday night if you change your mind! Now I'll have to see if I can talk any of my friends into it. I don't know if any of my friends are crazy enough!

What about the two single showings the week before that maq posted at 23?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/994311/posts?page=23#23 Those would be easier to manage, and then still find just a quieter local theater for the premier.... and you would, of course, still be welcome to come down here and see RoTK with us (and even stay over if you like) if you are still short on crazy friends.

That's a good idea...it would be a lot easier. My only reservation about it would be if I have trouble working out a schedule where I can see them. December is typically an awful month for me to try to do anything because I'm all tied up with music things. But I'm definitely interested in trying to make it work!
Oooooh, this is so exciting! RoTK is coming!!!!! :o

Well, with that in mind, do the tickets for those still go on sale Tuesday?
Are they just regular movie ticket kinda prices or are they priced high because we will pay anything?

I have no idea about any of the above. I'm checking the Cinerama website right now to see if I can find out.
I think I'm still going to do the marathon on Tuesday, so I'll need to go to the box office the MINUTE they go on sale anyway. It would be easy enough for me to see if I can pick up tickets for the other showings if I know when you want to go...

On the main screening page, which includes the multiple screenings in the first two weeks of December, they list at the bottom of the page the blurb that tickets are on sale on Oct 9. I assume that means tickets for ALL shows, just based on how it's laid out, but who knows???

Well, we will, by like Monday, let you know how many tickets we will need....
Will be ecurbh and me, and maybe Ramius for the EE views the weekend prior to the premier.... Ramius seems most interested in EE TTT, and I would really be most interested in EE FoTR.... but would see both, of course...
Hopefully there will be early matinee times.

Sounds like a plan.....
I think I can probably join you for a Saturday showing, but probably not a Sunday show. I'll keep checking in to see what you'all decide.
It will be so fun!!!!!! :)
Tickets aren't on sale till Thursday, so you have a little time....

The moment at the gate when the rider brings out the mithril shirt and for a moment they think all is lost... is one of my very favorite parts.... and great cinema if PJ were to let us wonder, as he is prone to do..... I don't think he'll cut that.
They cast someone to play The Mouth of Sauron; the Australian actor who played the gyro pilot in the second and third Mad Max movies - Bruce Spence is the name, if memory serves. The scenes have been shot. Bruce is very thin and cadaverous looking; good casting. It would not have made much sense to shoot this scene if The Mouth of Sauron shows up empty-handed.
