THE THIRD EXPLANATION is that the Dixie Chicks have decided they don't like the people who buy their records
LOL Bulls eye!

I can't resist........(and I have no monetary gain from this book).......but Laura Ingraham's book "Shut-up and Sing" says it quite well!

I think you hit it when you said that their statements and criticisms are juvenile. Natalie Maines didn't say that she disagreed with President Bush's policies on Iraq, she said she was ashamed of him, on foreign soil no less. Bingo. All of their tantrums to date have been only a sliver less juvenile than "I think Bush is a poopy-head".

Springsteen has been shooting off his mouth too. If they think Springsteen fans, who share their political beliefs, will like their music, they're nuts.
They would be better off opening for Arianna ( I'm so sexy my husband turned gay) Huffingworm.

Well I agree. I am a real fan of the Carter Family, Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, and Jimmy Martin. I was just saying in comparison to all of that other contemporary county garbage they had a few good tunes.

It seems like Natalie Maines has some "issues" she needs to deal with.
It's too bad she is taking the other two down with her.

Springsteen has been shooting off his mouth too. If they think Springsteen fans, who share their political beliefs,...A lot Springsteen fans, myself included, don't share his beliefs.
Springsteen figured this one out after he did that song "41 shots," about the Diallo shooting and the police unions stopped supporting him, providing concert security, etc.
After 9/11 Bruce, at least temporarily, learned his lesson. But now he's back on the same old liberal train.
And it may be hurting his career with his blue collar conservative fans. His concert in Buffalo last week had to be moved to a smaller venue because not enough tickets were sold.
I know I'm not seeing him live again.
