Those dreams are lost forever. I was married to the man I wrote that poem for. He killed that love when he stole the kids and I didn't hear from him for three weeks.

I didn't know if my babies were alive or dead. It was the most horrifying three weeks of my life. But the worst part is, after he victimized his own children by telling them to forget about mom, they would never see me again, the courts helped him by victimizing them again. They took the kids from me for three months. I had to pay $20 an hour to see my babies for 2 hours a week. They gave my babies to my mom, and that took my mom away from me too, because I couldn't go to her house because my kids were there.

During the divorce proceedings, my attorney brought up the results of a psych evaluation done on me and him. Mine came out fine, his came out with a personality disorder-non specific. I now have full custody of the kids, but they will suffer the effects from this for a long, long time.

YOur rant is well deserved. I am so sorry that you had to go through that, and even sorrier for the children. I know that courts very often "get it wrong". Sending up a prayer for you and your children that you will build upon this horrible experience and somehow gain by it. Hard as it might seem to believe, I truly do believe that bad leads to good. It is just up to us to recognize it and grab on. Hugs for you and your children.
