SAME OLD NEW MEXICO
At times the moon reveals herself
In daylight's deep blue sky
And beckons lovers break their gaze
To see her sailing by
Across the desert distance
On rocky canyon walls
The dancing forms of fire and stars
Leap as darkness falls
But the Spirit's built a sanctuary
Of sandstone for my start
The moon and fire and stars are free
Of this pueblo in my heart
