Oh that's a good idea, IG.....making bars instead of drop cookiers.

I'm making another batch tomorrow, so I'll try that instead.

Kay, I'm sure you're right....folks didn't do that too much in our first church when we moved to Florida...

..but in both our Presbyterian churches, it's a given.

There is something so comforting when someone shows up on your front door with 'homemade' and a hug.

My community "bakes'n'takes" too. It's a German Catholic farm community. Most of us have been here since the wagons rolled in from Pennsylvania and Ohio.

My oldest DIL came from a larger town and was amazed at the food that came to her upon the birth of her children. She was grateful and amazed. Son said, "Gee, I remember you hauling food around, but I didn't realize how much people appreciate it until we needed some help"
