This same article appeared in our local paper (South Bend, Indiana) with a stunning photo. I'm sure they printed the story just to have an excuse to print the photo of a beautiful meamaid under water in her bikini top. And more power to them for doing so! I tried to find a copy of the photo online but haven't yet.

My parents took me there, when I was about ten, and I didn't know what to think at first. I was gullible, and for awhile thought they were real. My parents were good at keeping their children in suspense!

I lived in the area when I was a child but we never visited.

Last year I was in Florida twice, and went past it a few times and the parking lot was basically empty.....sad because I remember when it used to be packed.


There was another thread here a while ago about someone wanting the water from the spring. Wouldn't be surprised if that isn't going to be what will happen.
