I do believe that, but I also know that the morals that individuals develop have a lot to do with the people and the influences around them as they learn and grow.

So be an example. We must take responsibilty for ourselves, not take it away from others or give it away by blaming government or groups for our actions or inactions. IMO

I know all of that - I was asking for something more specific - ideas on things that my fiance and I could do or get involved in to try to help make a difference. I'm not blaming anyone for my actions or inactions, and I never said government had anything to do with the problem I was talking about. All I was asking for were some ideas for ways we could be active that could help.
