"thanks so much for your kind words to my son."

Well, it would be one thing if it were just kind words, but they weren't.

That lad is special, but like so many special people who have gone before, his uniqueness won't be appreciated until his peers gain the maturity to recognize it.

It doesn't need to be any longer, it is perfect. I hope to read it to some friends tonight.

When I was 12 I was still being potty trained. Your son is a thinker. Give him good raw material. Thanks

I'll post what I was compelled to write yesterday morning. It was short but to the point.

Never Forget

A pretty autumn morning,
The sky so clear and blue.
But soon the peace was shattered,
They hit the towers two.
Our Pentagon assaulted,
Americans were killed.
Some heroes saved one target,
By crashing in a field.
It seems like it just happened,
It’s been two years today.
So take a solemn moment,
I hope that most will pray.
God bless our troops and leaders,
Give guidance to us all.
For only with your blessing,
Will this great evil fall.

That's beautiful.

You must be so proud of Brian. He's such a good person.

Thank you.

Beautiful, LonePalm. With the repetition of "holes in the air" I felt the emptiness, the repeated 'kick in the gut' shock of the second hit, the first collapse...very moving.

* "When I hear a speech like Blair’s, I have to check the calendar. And the calendar is usually wrong. It may say 2/23, or 7/16, or 4/30. But I know what the date is, and the date is 9/12. It’s going to be 9/12 for a long time to come." ~ James Lileks, Fri., July 18,  2003.  http://www.lileks.com/bleats/
