This book,
In The Cut was recommended to me as an "intellectual" and "psychological" book.
It's actually pseudointellectual, boring smut.

Ah, another Campion film. More nudity from the lady who gave the world a good long look at Harvey Keitel's doohickey in
The Piano. Do we have to have full frontal in
every flick from now on, Ms. C?
Naked Mega Ryan or not, no movie's worth the kind of exquisite boredom I've experienced while watching Ms. Campion's other films. No thanks.

The film, which also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kevin Bacon, "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" note:
This casting move will place Kevin Bacon within six dergrees of everyone whoever appeared in a film with Christopher Plummer (co-starred in "Delores Clayborn" with Jen Jason-Leigh) and Eliot Gould (co-starred with Plummer in "Silent Partner").
Plummer has done a TON of films. Gould is up there too.

Just another level down in Meg Ryan descent into a hell of her own creation. When she started cheating on her husband and wrecked that home (he has custody of their children), she was a mega star and Dennis Quaid was all washed up, Now take a look: she is reduced to pathetic "art" flicks like this, and Quaid had "Traffic", "The Rookie" and now "Cold Creek Manor", which will be #1 when it is released. Just desserts for fellandering Ryan and loyal father Quaid.

Being a Meggie fan, I will see the film, not to see the skin but to see the performance. She's a beautiful woman that has the 'girl next door' face and figure. She is the modern day Audry Hepburn, although Audry had a class that no actress can ever achieve. None the less, Meggie has brought me to tears a few times, as well as made me laugh uncontrollability. She's good at her craft and she keeps her politics, mostly, to herself.

Western culture is becoming increasingly infantile. Adults behave as a preteen boy who for the first time took a glimpse of a girl's underwear.
Today daring organ transplants have been made in hospitals, new algorithms have been formulated, previously unknown materials have been synthesized...
And all these people could think of is, "Have you seen her...?"
Well, they'll go home and switch to the gray-haired Jay Leno for a few flatulence and penis jokes. Pathetic.
