Since Whirlpool is making the Kenmore ones, I think it may be a good choice. But 26 years? That's amazing.

Twenty six years, two husbands and three kids worth of rough treatment, and still going strong. The only thing I've ever replaced are the seals on the doors. We have a Kenmore washer that we bought two years ago, when the old Kenmore ones wore out after over 18 years. Kenmore is the only washer and dryer I will buy.
