HILLARY AT WAR WITH WILD CHILD CHELSEA
Hillary Clinton is furious over
daughter Chelsea's out-of-control lifestyle with her Oxford
University beau Ian Klaus.
Hillary was stunned and outraged
when she saw photos showing
bikini-clad Chelsea in a sexy clinch
with Ian in a pool in Marbella,
Spain, during what friends are
calling the young couple's secret
honeymoon.
The issue that goes on sale Friday
details Chelsea and Ian's romp in
Spain, reveals how Chelsea deeply
hurt her parents by snubbing dad
Bill on his birthday . . . and much more.

Re: Davis and the California drivers licenses.
What's to keep those same people from registering to vote under our wonderfully-titled "Motor Voter Act"?
I remember when I moved here from California. I went to the local DMV, handed them my California license, got my new license and was automatically registered to vote.

I wish the Bushies would tank the Motor Voter. I'm not much on satalite voting sites, either. Setting up a voting machine in a shopping mall where you can snag people that only read their horoscopes in the newspaper and suggest they vote for slime,,,, the entire process just galls me.

How did the DMV know which political party to register you under? Or don't you claim your party when you register in your state?

Some of the "much more" from the Enquirer story:
Chels and Ian did not make it back for Billy's birthday but they did find time to attend Ian's Father's birthday bash in Ireland. It was a long celebration-all the guests went on a 4 day horseback ride and then they went to a hotel and partied for a few days. Supposedly, Ian's aunt was the source for this tidbit. (No wonder Chels is spreading-four days on a horse!!) This was the first birthday of Bill's that she missed.
Article also said that Ian has a job in New York, too and that they will be living in separate apartments. However, Hillary is suspicious as they had separate flats in London but Ian stayed at Chelsea's pad all the time.
What a fun summer Chelsea had...with trips to Paris, St. Tropaz, Africa, Ireland and Spain!! She starts her "consulting" job on Monday...wonder how much time off she will get her first year?

We got our sample ballot for the election. It took 6 1/2 pages just to list the candidates and their occupation. The bio booklet will come later I guess.
The buzz today is that Gray Davis may beat the recall. He sure looks and acts confident, even saying today that someone who can't pronounce California should not be governor of California (take that Arnie and Arianna)..
All my pubbie friends and acquaintances are voting for Arnold. I have two friends who are very right wing and they surprised me by saying they will vote for Arnie (thought sure they would back McClintock but they are being pragmatic and don't think he can win). Mr. D. is even voting for Arnie despite his gun control position.
Six candidates for governor of California in the October 7, 2003 recall election will be contestants in the Game Show Network's television special 'Who Wants to be Governor of California? The Debating Game'. The candidates are seen at a September 5, 2003 press conference in Los Angeles. (L-R) 20 year old college student Bryan Quinn, performance artist Trek Thunder Kelly, adult film star Mary Carey, actor Gary Coleman (news), six foot, seven inch basketball player and student Nathan Whitecloud Walton and 70-year old businessman Carl A. Mehr of San Diego. (Fred Prouser/Reuters)

I find this fascinating...
And I am not making this up...lol...
Yoko Ono is to re-stage her conceptual art project which saw her invite people to cut off her clothes until she was left naked.
It was 40 years ago that Ono, widow of John Lennon, took to the stage in Japan for Cut Piece.
Now Ono, 70, will recreate Cut Piece in Paris(oolala) on 15 September in an effort to promote world peace. link
At the age of 70 all you need is probably a bit more than love, before inviting a theatre audience to pick up scissors and snip off all your clothes.
Yesterday, however, Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, announced her intention of doing just that - in the interest of world peace, which has stubbornly shown no signs of breaking out in all the decades she has shed her clothes for art.

If Davis pulls this out (he started with a 22% approval rating), the Dem Party will owe him big time. Clinton is coming to the state later this month to campaign for Davis - as you know, they love and adore Billy Jeff out here...

Calling this trash "trailer trash" is an insult to trailer trash everywhere.

You've hit the nail on the head, Sweetie.
Most men look at birthdays as just another day. I'm not saying WJC is like 'most men', but I have a hard time accepting he's emotionally wounded because a 20 something daughter didn't fly home from Europe for his birthday.

Howard Dean and John Kerry are snipping at each other.
Details from this morning's Des Moines Register:
The rivalry between Democratic presidential candidates Howard Dean and John Kerry has flared into a skirmish about who said what first.
Dean, the former governor of Vermont, claims Kerry is adopting his positions and borrowing language from his speeches. Kerry, a Massachusetts senator, says Dean, who has already apologized once to another candidate for misquoting him, is arrogantly taking credit for stances and statements that predate Dean's.
Although it's going on largely behind the scenes, the increasingly unfriendly tit for tat demonstrates the stakes in the campaign, where the two New Englanders view each other as the chief opposition in the New Hampshire primary, which they both consider a must-win.
Dean narrowly leads the field in Iowa, where Kerry is solidly in third place, according to polls. However, Dean has a double-digit lead over second-place Kerry in New Hampshire, where the Jan. 28 primary comes the week after the Iowa caucuses launch the 2004 nominating season.(snip)

Ironic that an event guaranteed to make one violently ill is designed to end violence.

Finally, William Safire has made a valuable contribution to the debate about post-war Iraq.
In his column today he calls the nattering nabobs: "Failuremongers"...perfect!

Thanks for the rest of the story..........
Poor Chelz, what a dilemma she's in. Having been ignored for most of her life until it was time for a photo-op and then to be made a laughing stock because of her dad, I'm sure she's like to forget she knows them.
But then there's all that money, fame and perks. Decisions, decisions!
