Hah! How about restrained. That's what they need. Frankly, I don't know you...or your dog...so you'll forgive me if I don't trust your pit bull or rottie. Keep it restrained at all times. Your dog is not as important to me as the neighbor's kid, and I will object strenuously if your dog is loose anywhere near me.

Of course my dog is tied out, fenced in or locked inside at all times. I know the difference between a trusted family pet and a mean junk dog.
