Do you think that McClintock or Arnold should drop out in order to unify Republicans behind one republican candidate in order to increase odds of winning recall election?

It should be whichever candidate is statistically and realistically eliminated with one week to go before the election. McClintock is the right man for the job. Arnold is better than either Dim. Hopefully, both men will put their party first and the choice will be obvious.

No, Bustamante should drop out.

Since he's voting 'No' on recall (ahem), he should agree with you!

In a McClintock vs Bustamante race, Bustamante wins. That does not, however, necessarily imply that McClintock should drop out of the race. If Arnold captures a large enough portion of the Democrat vote, it might conceivably be possible for McClintock to win. It's unlikely this scenario could occur unless Arnold wants it too, but if Arnold and McClintock worked together to get McClintock elected, they could probably manage to do precisely that.

I am sure that the Republican Party will hold true to it's famous nickname, "The Stupid Party." Looks like maybe 6 to 1 for Bustamante. Anyone have the Vegas odds?

This may be a dumb question, but Jim, who do you support? I realized I never heard your opinion on this.

From what I've heard here, Jim supposedly backs McClintock in this race.

As much as I hate to say it McClintock should drop out. Arnold's clearly beating him but it's in air between Arnie and Cruz the Crooked. Arnie may not be the ideal conservative governer, but he'd atleast take Tom's advice on the fiscal matters. I don't think the same can be said for Cruz. He'd probably never take the time out from lining up more benefits and quasi-citizenship for his illegal buddies to listen to anyone with common sense.
