So true about the redeeming qualities and survival instinct. Once when my daughter was about 10, she wanted to watch a TV program before doing her homework, and had a fit when I turned the TV off and put her books in front of her. She wailed that she might just run away, and my husband chimed in with "Write if you find work". She never tried that one again.

ROFL! My mother in law says that God knew what he was doing when he made babies so cute when they are little because if they weren't we might too tempted to just give them away!
