Submitted by: william biscorner at Thu Jun 26 17:16:01 2003 UTC I took this awesome corona on the night of November 5th, 2001. It was approximately 10pm, and the display lasted for about one hour. Using a Pentax k1000 with a 24mm f/2.8 lens, and Fuji 200 film, the exposure was 25 seconds.

Twilight wedge 1/1999 Submitted by: william biscorner at Sat Jun 28 14:51:01 2003 UTC
Cold Michigan evenings usually produce deeply colored wedges.
This photo also shows a vivid pink 'belt of Venus'.
Camera was a Pentax k1000 with a 50mm f/2 lens,
and Kodak royal gold 200 film.
The exposure was at f/2 for 1/4 seconds.

from: "Page Six" in "The NY Post" Jorg Immendorf - the neo-expressionist artist chosen to paint German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's portrait for the Berlin chancellery - was busted throwing a cocaine party with nine prostitutes in a Dusseldorf hotel the other day, reports Der Bild. Prostitution is legal in Germany, but Immendorf, who is pals with Schroeder, still has to answer for 11 grams of marching powder allegedly found in his room.
Talk about a cockeyed optimist.
Even Charlie Sheen would find ordering 9 hookers and 11 grams of goodies for one evening to be over the top.

..marching powder?
A new one for me. "Peruvian Marching Powder" as a term for cocaine goes back at least to the late '60s

My dearest sister wants me to rebuild a snowman I made many many years ago.
I'm not looking forward to rolling 500 pounds or so of balled up snow around....

I'll have to look into getting a dominatrix snow-woman.
That'll freak the neighbors out.
