For a site Called FREE REPUBLIC there does seem to be a lot
of at least "small c" commies around. Don't seem to care much for national security either. I am proposing a license
that is pretty much a GPL/BSD/MIT mixture but with a right for the government to restrict open source code availability for enemy nations and terrorist organizations (This makes it much like the license that the Genesis 3d Engine is using with the exception of the proposed restriction) and these people GO BALISTIC and say I'm trying to socialize "Free Software"
as if it isn't that already.

.. a right for the government to restrict open source code availability for enemy nations and terrorist organizations..Why restrict it to Open Source? How many of these countries and organizations are using Microsoft products in their daily operations? Yet the Microsoft folks will tell you that they're sending money to Microsoft, so that makes it all right.
Either restrict ALL of it, or NONE of it.

"For a site Called FREE REPUBLIC there does seem to be a lot of at least "small c" commies around." Maybe that is because they know enough history realize that "small-c communism" is as much a part of the US as capitalism, and that it is no threat to personal freedom, and is, in fact, actually an exercise of that freedom.
The only time ANY political philosophy becomes dangerous is if it becomes "government-established" (aka a national religion) like Marxism, National Socialism, Fascism, Islamism, and others.

Unfortunately however there are quite a few that can't reason more than one level deep and therefore can't understand the distinction you are bringing forward. But thanks for your patience in dealing with them, I think you are making better points with them than you may fully understand.
