My concerns are that there are ANTI AMERICANS running this GPL show and I share the same concern about Microsoft. Actually anyone posting on a site whose first graphic you see is the AMERICAN EAGLE and calling itself FREE REPUBLIC should be having these concerns too. don't you think?.
And don't tell me that Free Republic runs on Linux. That is probably just a result of posters probably not contributing to FReepaThons and othe promotions here as readily as we should. They would probably prefer something a little more stable and AMERICAN like a Sun Solaris for x86 solution themselves.

Psst hey buddy I got a red-hot tip for ya.... FR RUNS ON LINUX :)

The site www.freerepublic.com is running Apache on Linux.

Quoth Netcraft....

Or maybe Linux works for FR? Besides, if they weren't going to use Linux, FreeBSD would be a better choice on x86 than Solaris x86. Then again maybe Sun's enthusiastic support of shipping as many American jobs overseas doesn't exactly make them look patriotic either... Outsourcing half the jobs to India so you can code 24/7 makes sense, but this "let's fire 1 American so we can get 3 Indians" is less than supportive of our countrymen.

They would probably prefer something a little more stable and AMERICAN like a Sun Solaris for x86 solution themselves.

Probably almost as many Indians involved in Solaris. Wasn't one of Sun's founders a student from India? I could be mistaken, but I do recall seeing something to that effect.
