Well, either way, they've got software created by Americans running their computers. So whether they get the code for free, or pay a few bucks for a copy and pirate the rest, seems not to matter a whole bunch.
Except, of course, that Microsoft earns a few bucks the one way, or zero the other way.

Either way we get shafted. The only way to deal with our enemies is to grow some cajones and meet them in the field of battle. Only a moron with no knowledge of the Cold War thinks our enemies can't waltz into our country with a foreign passport and send our tech overseas. Regulating our tech won't stop them. Fighting them with targetted assassinations and proxy wars will. China will invade Taiwan in the next 10 years in all probability. Let's make that invasion very costly.... to the tune of a few hundred million Chinese civilians and military personnel by making sure than Taiwan has more in its arsenal than fireworks and grenades...
