Good Morning! Have you spoken with your tenant lately? Crops are deteriorating in front of our eyes. Beans appear to be going dormant, waiting for moisture. It's going to be nearly impossible to fill out the pods before maturity.

Lots of corn fired above the ear and some is completely gone. 6 wks ago we had the potential for a record breaking crop.

I'm sure glad I didn't listen to my sons and purchase another bin.

I believe that the northern part of the state has received more rain than have you guys...our harvest will be some two weeks later than usual due to the wet spring and the re-planting of crops. My brother and I will be up there whenever we know that the combines are in the fields.

The taste buds are getting for plenty of IowaChops and beef tenderloin.
