Two Willie Nelson concerts to support Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination are being postponed.

The Sept. 1 concert in Des Moines and a Cleveland concert on Sept. 6 will be rescheduled for later in the fall, allowing the Kucinich campaign to make better use of the concerts' momentum heading into the primary season, a campaign statement said.

"It was a bit of a rush," campaign spokesman Jeff Cohen said Friday. "We've tripled our staff in Iowa and didn't want our staff working on concert promotion instead of field organizing."

People who already bought tickets will get refunds, the statement said.

Cohen said the concerts likely would be held in November.
