well.. you might remember creepy crawlers? the Thingmaker? It had aluminum molds that you filled with plastigook, and the thingmaker was a glorified hotpad that cooked the gook until it turned to rubber and you had a rubber spider or whatever?

Well, the gobbledegook was for the Incredible Edibles, which was the same principle only the stuff was edible (sorta) when you cooked it.

I remember that. But I think the word "gobbledegook" was around even before that. I thought "gook" was an abbreviation for it.
