I guess he's clueless as to what happens in NYC during a blackout after the sun goes down.
Giuliani had a plan. Did they lose it?

Weather is fine now..... rain this morning, but hot and sunny this afternoon.... Maybe a gulf depression forming that may impact later on or slide to the south and hit south Texas....
Hey a few hours without power and ppl get upset. They should live in hurricane territory where several days can be the norm when one hits...... But I feel their pain.

If you've got a charged up battery pack for your laptop you're in business. No problem getting connected in that scenario.

Bloomberg is disconnected from the real world.
Why he didn't even know there was a power failure till someone tapped him on the shoulder to tell him the lights were out.
He hardly felt the impact? Wow. Tell it to those who were stuck in elevators, subways, hospitals, etc.
Earth to Bloomberg.

can i just say I was stunned at what an idiot he just showed himself to be. Then he said something about taking rides and that "he would do it"-- and I thought "uh, yeah--I can see you ditching your driver and getting out there." THEN bringing up the Central Park jogger- what a DORK! Yikes!

Anyone else watching abc news? Tedd Koppel got hosed by a caller pretending to be a city official. The caller was plugging a website called thankyouforcalling.com and must have repeated the name six times. Ted never caught on and the guys cell call dropped off... LOL
/sorry for being off topic.

He only became a republican to win the election and support from Rudy. He is a big friend of the Clinton's.

In addition to battery operated PC's, putting the list of facilities on their website makes it easy for the newsmedia to grab the list and broadcast it to the people looking for a place to go. It's not like the Mayor can just send a fax to the TV and Radio stations and be assured that they received it since fax machines may not be covered by backup power. It may sound funny to you, but it does make some sense.

FOX news ticker said Verizon is working...Hmmm, NPR said cell phones were down. Who to trust Fox or NPR? What a dillema (sp?)! I report, you decide.
