Thing is, I was originally attracted to Survivor for its 'office politics in miniature' aspect. There were effectively two types of games going on. Some tried to be the best Survivor - catch food, build shelter, play the games hard, etc. They hoped to win people's respect and admiration, and advance that way. The other game involved building coalitions, or getting yourself involved with whoever was leading at that time. In the last two seasons especially, this second game has come to dominate, and it has ceased to be fun to watch.
The early seasons had a good mix of the two types. Richard Hatch may have been a schemer, but he was also the best fisherman on the team. And Rudy and Susan were both hard workers. In Season 2, Colby and Tina both obviously worked at coalition building, but also worked fairly hard at surviving. Now, though, we don't even have actual coalitions, which might imply loyalty and mutual work. It's just lie, backstab, and manipulate.
So, I think this one will be it for me.
