Europeans' opinions should be heeded
I read with interest the Sunday article about Europe, "They love us but don't like us."All of my European friends would agree with the points made by author Dean Lomis.
Europeans can't understand our conservative leanings, high crime rate, use of guns, support of capital punishment, unilateralism, disregard for the United Nations and ignorance of the world. these criticisms are much more relevant today than during the last administration, when we had a president who did understand the world and was highly respected in Europe.
Choosing Howard Dean for president would help us regain the respect of Europeans. Dean's view of leadership is based on alliances and multilateralism. He believes we should rally the world around fundamental principles of decency, responsibility, freedom and mutual respect.
I notice the writer said the bent one was respected in Europe, didn't mention about here at home.
