I didn't like him or Dole, and I was really disappointed that there was not a better, clearer choice. Hillary had not shown her most evil face before term two, however. Once she did, I knew I had made a hell of a mistake, and began campaigning against her husband three full years before the next election.

1996 was my first presidential vote. I knew Dole was a loser so I decided I might as well vote Libertarian. Then Bob Dole did that last 48 hours non-stop campaigning and the polls started to look better so, on election day, I decided to vote for Dole.

Actually the first time I was old enough, (used to be 21 as minimum) Carter was running against Ford. I had just gotten out of USAF and moved back to Alabama and wasn't registered, but I would have voted for Ford. I registered and voted for Reagan against Carter. Then Reagan again. Then Bush twice. Then Dole. Then in 2000, I didn't make it to the poll but knew Alabama's 6 electoral votes were in GWB's pocket, so my vote was safe. I will never miss another voting day unless I'm in the Hospital.
